Hello,
I'm in the market for a final cut keyboard (the old style white ones with the proper keys - not stickers)
I'm in the UK - anyone with a good offer let me know!
cheers.

Have a new set of Final Cut Keyboard Stickers if you're interested?

hi,
i've heard those stickers either peel off easily or don't last very long (get dirty/rub ink off etc) so i'd rather a dedicated keyboard i think.
cheers anyway

if i was you i would learn the shortcuts
if you go to tools - customize keyboard layout - and have that window near by while editing - everytime your not sure what a key does you can reference that window, in the mean time you will be learning the shortcuts quickly - also you will probably only use about 15% - 20% of the shortcuts

cheers for the advice. I do have a sheet printed out with the main short cut ones and i'm getting better at them. I just thought the keyboard looked so cool :o
I think i might try the stickers. I've seen a few reviews of them saying they're not that bad.

I've tried the KB covers. They're great and have good service.
Cheers

do you mean those thin covers that go right over the KB? That is the third option isn't it, do you find that pressing one key sort of half presses the two either side of it, IYSWIM?
They're quite good value and i can just easily take if off when i'm not editing. I need to look into them a bit more!

no, you really can hardly feel that they're on your keyboard, you'll never have the problem of one key also going down when you push another. ( www.kbcovers.com ). It's also nice that they protect your keyboard and that you can just take 'em off whenever you like. You don't need to create extra space for an extra keyboard this way.
It's a really soft and thin material, it slides into place and it feels like a thin, soft rubber layer.
