Hey I want to buy this. Ill offer 1200

You can buy this , when your price is reasonable and includes shipping and handling.

Think about it , you want to buy a MBP at lower than a macbook price !!!!!!!!

Is the 160GB hard drive factory installed or was it a do-it-yourself job? Does it include the Leopard DVD? And pics would be nice :)

$1421 without the Leopard disk. $1550 with Leopard disk.

$1499 is the refurbished price for the base unit with Leopard.
+ $116 (one additional year of applecare)
+ $119 (8% tax savings on base unit)
+ $40 (2 Gb memory upgrade)
-$224 (15% discount off base for "used and unknown", +/- based on condition)
$1550 with Leopard
-$129 Leopard upgrade
$1421 without Leopard

OK thanks for the feed back , lets not forget that Paypal takes a percentage of large sums of payment so lets add that in and S&H which from what the UPS store told me would be 50dollars.

Guys, I live near Michael and we buy our stuff out of the same Albany store. He and I have emailed a lot and even though I haven't met him he seems like a very sincere guy. He seems to be as fussy as I am about his equipment and that's fussy!!:)

Thank you for your input and experience's , once again I am going by what I was told at the UPS store in Latham NY and insuring the package for FULL replacement value. If I was mislead or the price was exaggerated that I cannot say. I am still looking into the percentage that paypal takes based on the amount of money sent.

Once again thank you for your input, I sincerely appreciate it.

UPDATE: Shipping either going to NYC or CA, with a box that is 16 x 16 x 3 and weighs 11lbs and is insured for 2500 dollars the lowest rate is 35 dollars , going to CA or across country as the girl at UPS store showed me your coming at 50 to 55 dollars once again with insurance. So for all you others with your input and he said she said, I already went and took the box and computer and went through it.

Don't listen to this guy, it's impossible for something to weight 11lbs and cost $15 to ship unless you send it media mail through USPS without any insurance. And you're only supposed to send books/cd's through media mail which takes upto 2 weeks. The MINIMUM even through USPS to ship a macbook pro with full insurance will be $45, I know because I've done it many times, UPS might even be more expensive.

It's a move to a 800 mhz FSB (although the RAM still operates at 667ish mhz, they are independent) and some powersaving changes. The SR macbooks also moved to the newer (and slightly less shameful) intel graphics.

Then your a business or getting discounted rates because I have been to 2 UPS locations and both come up with the same price. And there is NO way unless the buyer wants it shipped USPS and uninsured that I will ship through the USPS. Either way I am not arguing about this if someone wants to buy this from me we can deal through PM's or postings here but this is honestly getting silly .

Thanks for EVERYONES input. My price is whats listed or best offer that we agree too and the shipping stands and if your paying by paypal the agreed amount needs to be adjusted to a 2.9% + 30 cents which is what paypal takes out.

Thanks to all. PM's work best

i find that fedex shipping rates are more reasonable, even with insurance. also, depending on where you ship your ups packages, the rates can be different.

If you ship from a 3rd party, like Mailboxes Etc, then they charge HIGHER rates than what UPS would normally charge. This occurs often in rural areas where there isn't an actual UPS location. I think a fair way to calculate shipping is to go to ups.com website and just put in the numbers into their online calculator.

as for paypal charges, i also suggest using google checkout. i have never used it before, but their rates are cheaper than paypal.

good luck with your sale

Take it to ebay. Let bidders take the price up, instead of trying to sell ice to eskimos here. Set your shipping to a flat $40 in the continental U.S.

If you have a reasonable 'Buy Now' price then wait 4-6 hours and done.
