Hello.

I’ve purchased a used emac from a friend. 800Mhz G4, 256MB, 60GB HD, SuperDrive. Nice little machine for the kids.

It has OSX 10.2 (Jaguar). I would like to upgrade it to Tiger. (wont support Leopard - so I'm told....).

I've tried to buy Tiger from Apple, but it is not on their website. I called in to buy it, and got the Call Center in India, and they could not figure out how to sell me one. Ugh.

Anywho, if anyone has a copy of Tiger they can sell me that would install on this eMac, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to purchase and install some other software on eMacr for my kids, and min req is usually Tiger.

Thanks in advance. Feel free to reply or pm, or whatever.

I would try to install Leopard using Target Disc Mode. I've heard that that will work. Just make sure the host computer is supported by Leopard.

I have a retail upgrade Tiger dvd. Its 10.4.6. I have no need for it. Dont know what the going rate is for this. I believe if you have 10.2, or 10.3 it will work, not positive though. Let me know what you think.

I have a Tiger drop in CD/DVD that will work if you have Mac OS X installed...

Hello All.

I have pm'd a couple of you, but I have still not resolved this issue. I went to the Apple Store yesterday and they have nothing to sell me.

If anyone can help me to upgrade this eMac to Tiger, it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
