View Full Version : PS2 Guitar Hero - what is this worth?

Since I have my PS3 GH3 and Rock Band I don't really play my PS2 GH games, and I have a co-worker who wants to buy them off me.

I have [2] Red Octane guitar controllers [both, wired, one black, one red] plus [2] 7-ft extension cords, along with Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, and Guitar Hero Rocks the 80's. Everything is in excellent condition.

What do you think is a reasonable price to charge? I looked around on ebay for guidance, but there's so much crap for GH in there that I got mired and gave up.

Well if it were me, I would say, maybe $200-$300. Because after all, Hey! You have a PS3!! You have GH3!! What's not to love? But I completely understand if you are attached to your PS2/GH3 gear. That's why I'm skeptical about getting an Xbox 360. I fear I'll never play PS2 again.

Take what you paid for each, add it up, and charge 40-30% of that, depending on what you think the co-worker will pay and how much you like him.

I would say thats worth a solid $140, but you might be able to get away with even 170 or 180$, if he wants it that bad.

I paid $60 for a used GH III and Wireless Controller for PS2 if that gives you any idea-if I remember, when I was looking 2 Guitars and multiple versions of GH were going for right around $100

I was thinking that $100-120 seemed about right. Just wanted to see if other folks agreed that this range wasn't a rip off.

zelmo, I was watching an auction on ebay that ended the other day... same type of deal, except it was 1 red octane controller and 1 generic. All four ps2 games, it ended 180 + 20 shipping.

I've been tossing around the same problem, I have the 1 red, 1 black, GH, GH 2, GH 80s and GH 3 that I'm thinking of selling... I just don't know where the best place to list it would be.

Let me know what you ended up getting for the package. :)
