I'm about to buy a Panther copy myself, and wondering how's the compatibility with major applications.
- Filemaker says ver. 6 is OK with Panther.
-iView MediaPro says we should wait till they release a minor update on Monday.
-Contribute 2 seems to be having problems with Panther.
I'm curious about Photoshop 7, Illustrator 10, Dreamweaver MX and Japanese ATOK 16 software.
Anybody having compatibility issues???

I know all of the adobe programs you listed work perfectly, also macromedia apps. no experience with macromedia contribute or the others you mentioned.

I've just got my Panther, and IE 5.2's working fine.
The Panther installer actually has installed a new copy of IE 5.2.
I don't think it's any different from the one on OS X 10.2 though.

Since installing 10.3 (updating from 10.2.8) neither photoshop 7 or illustrator 10 will launch. both quit partway through startup with message (photoshop/illustrator crashed unexpectedly"
I have repaired permissions but no success still
Any ideas?

I've had no problems, but I would recommend deleting the apps/preferences and reinstalling them.
