Apple 20" Cinema Display (Acrylic) (ADC) Monitor

Unopened! NEVER Been Used

I bought this Apple LCD from the Cincinnati Apple Store in September or October 2003.

It's been in a temperature controlled supply room ever since.

If your computer does not have an Apple Display Connector (ADC) then you will need to purchase one from Apple or Ebay in order to connect it to a standard DVI connection.

I have another one of these that I have been using since 2003 that still works great.
Any Questions?
Feel free to contact me.
I'm not sure about the shipping cost, so I'll say $20 and I'll eat the difference if it's more than that.
This is my first auction and I'd like to make it successful.

Would you consider a direct MacRumors sale? I'm interested and could definitely pay via PayPal.

I am sorry but I already have two bids on ebay, and I talked to one bidder on the phone tonight. I would like to sell through ebay so I can get some good feedback. I am planning to sell more Mac and music/recording equipment through ebay soon, so I need to establish myself as a real/honest seller. You are welcome to bid though.

Peace

Just out of curiosity.

Why does one buy a 20" monitor and then not ever use it?

Especially at the price those things were back in 2003.

Yes it was very expensive back then. I bought a dual G4 and 20" cinema display in Feb 2003. In Sept/Oct I bought the new AI 15" Powerbook and a new 20" monitor. Back then you could only get a 3 year warranty (Applecare) on an Apple Monitor if you bought it at the same time as a CPU.

At the time I was going to move overseas for a job so I bought the Powerbook and 20" Display planning to sell my G4 tower and other 20" Display. Well the job didn't work out and I kept using my Feb 2003 Cinema Display. So I have had this other unopened 20" in storage for many years.

I probably should have sold it or donated it years ago when it was worth alot of money.

There are alot of what if's in life and I just never had time to deal with it.

Now I am selling it for $1000 less than I paid for it. And yes that hurts bad but any bidder is going to get an incredible LCD for cheap. Yes they probably have to buy an acd adapter, but the total cost is so cheap for such a good monitor.

The current Samsung 20" are crap in color compared to this monitor. This is a great graphics monitor, better than the current Apple 23", but similar to the current Apple 20" but much cheaper.

In Sum
I slept on my opportunity to sell when it was worth alot bc I was just to busy in life. Now someone is getting a great deal.

In all honesty, I wish I would have tried to sell it for alot more but I am trying to build up me ebay credibility and want to sell more Mac and Music/recording gear on ebay

peace
