Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

Are you interested in any trades? Do you need an antenna to get ota broadcasts?

Yeah, it's version 2.5.2. Sucks because I just bought this in December.

As for why I'm not using it...I don't know. I just prefer to watch Conan and the Daily Show online. I don't have cable. So the only thing I ever used it for was recording PBS programs, which I usually didn't end up watching.

And I'm not interested in trades right now. I need cash.

If you bought it in December, why don't you get the free upgrade to EyeTV 3 before selling it? Whoever buys it from you won't be able to, because it will be second hand.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. I'm having trouble finding my purchase code, though.

So is this a bad product? I recently bought a MacPro w/ 30" ACD and was thinking of buying an EyeTV Hybrid.

I've had one since they came out and it's a great product. Very well integrated with the Elgato software, too. I use it as a DVR to time shift and catch my favorite programs. EyeTV does a really good job of encoding for any number of formats as well.

It's a great product! I use mine all the time. With my table top HDTV antenna, I get a great picture, and the software converts my recorded shows for my iPod and iPhone automatically for me. I love it! It was well worth the money!

it's not a bad product at all. I only get 2 stations here, nbc and pbs. It's not really worth it for me. If I had cable, I would use it all the time.

Because I wanted a DVR and broadcast video solution for my iMac, I spent a lot of time researching what was available. In the PC world there are a bunch of options, but for Macs it was pretty much Elgato and Miglia. After spending some time researching in depth, there was no question that the Elgato products and software were far better than anything else out there, IMHO.

As mentioned before, probably the best part of this product is the software, even if you're still only getting the v2.x. I looked closely at the new version (3.0) and I didn't see a compelling reason to upgrade.

EyeTV 2.x will even allow you to do wireless setups if you have the hardware.

If I had the $$ handy I would jump on this for my 17" iMac.
