View Full Version : white spots all over 1.25 powerbook lcd

hey im posting again.. i must have got the worst powerbook apple has ever mad.. within 1 week of owning it I have had these following problems,

-white spots on lcd
-dead slot drive
-ipod won't connect to powerbook


all in all i feel cheated.. I think im just going to ask apple to send me a new one. anyone else here felt the pain i've felt?

There were hefty posting on http://macfixit.com about white spots on the LCD of new AlPBs. Unfortunately, you can only read them now if you're a subscriber. Some indicators were 3rd party RAM, but contacting Apple was the best step.

If it's less than 10 days you can return it as DOA. A friend of mine had the same white spots on a new PB and sent it back to Apple today.

send it back. It's defective, and you don't have to pay for that. They'll send you a new one.
