well considering you can get one brand new from apple for 1699 student discount. most would rather buy direct i assume for 50 bucks and save peace of mind. And my PM included more than just a small price drop it was a trade offer and a chance for some negotiations.

No worries, i understand. It just that the other guy asked for my paypal and sending fund right away. But yeah, 1699 gets you student pricing, but again you need to count in tax

I think you guys are both wrong. Calling dibs is saying you will buy it at the price right now and no more negotiations. By calling dibs, you give the seller time to send you payment information.
Calling dibs doesn't mean u have first chance at negotiations.

Exactly. Dibs is a commitment to buy at the asking price, otherwise you're just fishing.
Congrats on the quick sale ethen :)

I love negotiating, and thus only call dibs when I am prepared to pay the asking price. Ethen, seems like you're a good seller, hope to see you here again.
