Oh my god my dog has just pissed all over my new MBP!!!!!
It was charging on the floor and I walk in to a room smelling like piss and a wet laptop! :(
I can't turn it on and have unplugged it obviously, anyway apple will replace this for me? I am so PISSED off!!:mad:

First, make sure you make your dog see clearly that you are pis..ed off (use your own methods here)
Then call Apple and see what they suggest ...

How terrible! Are you sure it's not just the yellow screen issue? Sorry...couldn't resist.
Give it 24 hours or more to dry and then try turning it on again. You never know. And punish the damn dog!

Seriuosly though - you should disconnect the battery/power. A hair dryer might be able to dry it out for you.

sorry to hear about that - i'd be too angry for words if my dog did something like that. :(
apple doesn't replace products because of accidental damage - you'll need to pay for any repairs needed...

wow that sucks. Even if you do get it to dry do you think you will be able to get the smell out? I don't think apple will exchange it for you but you never know unless you ask them. Be polite about it. Just take a blow dryer or let it sit for a day. Bad dog!!

As much as I feel for you the fact remains that you left the device on the floor and the dog was marking his spot. The human in this equation is smarter then the dog so the human is responsible.
Sorry, but as I pet owner myself this is the way it is. If you do not want the dog to mess with it then don't put it on the floor.

Ok, this is the best one yet.
Forget coke, water, beer or coffee. Go straight for the dog pee.
Given it's an Apple, I'm just surprised he didn't try to eat it!
And yeah, sorry but good luck trying to get the smell out.

But it would make the smell pretty much impossible to get rid of.

Sorry to hear it if it's true.
However, I am pretty sure all Apple products comes pre-charged, ready to use,
at least with iPhones and the MBPs I got.

Apple will definitely not replace this, why the hell would they?
I have no sympathy, because it was left on the floor!?!?!?!

But it would make the smell pretty much impossible to get rid of.I can't see any way that it isn't going to smell. I don't know if anyone has every asked :apple: to clean out the inside of thier MBP before maybe the OP can ask and let us know.
