Has anyone tried anything that works? They are the same keys as the 15" and 17", transparent and all. I've read things about putting fiber optics in there and whatnot.. is anyone aware of any companies that sell keys that light up? I think it would be cool if the keys lit up every time you clicked on them....

Yes, take it off, and shine a flashlight on the other side.

the general consensus is that there is only room enough in the 12" for the most rudimentary of lighting systems. best i've seen is one strand under each row, cut under each key... but it looks nothing like Apple's, and winds up being less than convenient (this was on iBooks, not sure how it would look on 12"pb)...

Where did you see this?? More info please!

I think the project that he is talking about is here (http://homepage.mac.com/nnishi/PhotoAlbum3a.html). It's pretty impressive as it came out WAY before the official apple lighted keyboards.

yes this is what i was talking about. I'm way to afraid to do anything like that to my keyboard (i'll mess it up i'm sure). I wish the keys could just pop off and be replaced with ones that lit up when you pressed on them.
Wish i could read it tho
