Hey Guys,

I am thinking of selling this machine. It is in pristine condition. How much should I price it at? (Shipping Included)

edit: The item is for sale now. My first asking price will be 1800$ + Shipping

- Wired Aluminum Keyboard
- Wireless Apple Mouse

The iMac's Configuration is the following:
2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme
500GB Hard Drive
2GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro

Thanks!

Well in the UK I sold my 2.8 with similar spec for £1,400 + shipping.
I was pretty happy with that although I did include 4gb ram which at the time cost me about £120 on top.

That does sound like a good price. Did you go through eBay?

With the Penryn iMacs due out soon (Tuesday?), your iMac will certainly take a value hit.

Also, having a custom CPU upgrade is sort of like having an inground swimming pool. It adds only a fraction of what you spent to the value and it reduces the pool (forgive the pun) of people who would buy.

You make a good point. How much should I price it at then?

I'm tempted to do the same at the moment tbh, so would be interested in people's opinions of the sort of value the 2.8 has at the moment. Only difference is that I have Applecare and 4Gb RAM.

$1800 seems fair. I've been trying to sell my 2.4 Ghz 24" w/ applecare and 2gb ram for $1500 and that seems reasonable to the few people who have inquired about it thus far. So $300 premium for the next level seems legit. Best of luck! Oh I'm still taking offers as well. PM me.
