I am thinking about selling my MacBook Pro and looking for some ideas about UK pricing/value.

The specs are:

15" MacBook Pro
2.16GHz Core 2 Duo
2GB Ram
320GB WD Hard Drive
SuperDrive
128MB ATI Radeon X1600
1440 x 900 display
Leopard (including Original DVD)
Includes Manuals and original recovery discs

Condition: There is 1 small dent on the lid and 2 small dents on the base, but other than that, it is excellent. I will include a replacement base and lid for the right price.

At the moment I am looking for ideas about the price but open to any offers.

Your Computer is a
MacBook Pro 15 inch Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz 2048/320 GB/superdrive
The Mac2Sell Quoted Value of your computer is :
£ 970

I think this is a little high considering the new MBP's are only £1104 with student discount.

But thanks for the suggestion.

yeah, mac2sell always goes high... it says my MBP is worth 1400, which I doubt it is.

Apple.com shows a refurbished 2.16 MBP as $1299.

Yeah, so subtract for the cosmetic damage (I'm going to say $200)and since you didn't mention Applecare, I'm going to assume no warranty.

I would put it at around $1100 USD with the upgrades, which would be around 550 British pounds, I believe. However, if you're selling in the UK, it will fetch a higher price due to the higher initial price of MBP's there. So, 650 pounds, perhaps?

You would easily get around £800 for this gazfocus.

Is this matte or glossy screen? When you say you will include replacements does that mean you will replace the shell so there won't be any dents?

It's a matte screen. I will include the replacement shell for someone else to fit. Last time I changed the shell on a Powerbook, it took a couple of hours. Depending on the price/deal, I would replace them before sending, but obviously, the price will have to make it worth me doing.

Thanks
