i would rate the condition about 8 out of 10

the only real thing is three keys have slight paint wear, and a tiny dent near the botton latch (purley cosmetic, and cant see unless your 3" from it), but other than that the whole machine works like new. The battery health is sill 78% and hold about a 2hour charge. When taking the pics i noticed a few more surface scratches in the rear corners, almost looks like graphite marks, but you can see in the pic.

Trust me, there are plenty of suckers who will pay out the nose for something they want. (Take me for example; shelling out $800 for an iBook G4 because I absolutely refuse to get a MacBook; same could work here.)

Main points: I think the MB is too wide, too cheaply built, I adore 12" notebooks, and I prefer PPC over Intel.

Anyway, to the OP, you could get a lot of money, but dont be dissappointed if you receive an offer for $600. That's probably what it's actually worth, but with the right circumstances, you could get a lot more.

I'm quite surprised about the interest in 12" PB's. I have been reading in envy the specs in Apple's latest Macbook revisions, which would allow me to run Parallel and access some software that I am currently restricted from with my 12", g4, 1.33 PB. I may have to send out a feeler to see what kind of price my current lappy can get me to justify an upgrade. Hope you get a good price on yours OP.

-The original box is long gone, however i will ship it in my MBP box, and that inside another box, so it is sure to have a safe ride.

-The battery is at ~78% health and holds about a 2hr charge (a bit longer at lower brightness)


-I accept PayPal, or cashiers check, but with cashiers check it must clear before i ship.

It was a money order. I am starting to believe this was a complex scam, this guy has more than one screen name posts items for sale and buys them to build up references then gains trust and makes his move.

Since this was a US postal money order, and was sent via US mail with confirmation, I can get the Postal inspectors involved. This scam became a felony.

Odd, he seems rather legit. This is why I don't really deal with anyone selling on MR except really active members... grrr. Hope it all works out for you, and that jerk ass gets into some serious trouble.

hope you get your $500 refunded in the full amount. that is why I only buy and sell through paypal so it protects both sides. Although I think it is wrong for people who add a 3% charge for using paypal, I think that is wrong and should not be tolerated. In cases like those, I choose to not deal business with. By the way, this is why I was hoping the mods would reconsider the post count amount you need to be able to post a for sale item in the marketplace. This person has been around for awhile and look what happened..pulled a scam. I on the other hand, would like to post a fs thread to sell my MacBook and get another one but can't because my post count is too low and i'm legit. I don't think it is fair but oh well. Perhaps each user should have purchased X amount of items from currently verified members of the marketplace to be able to list any items for sale.

ya meant sat not friday..

by shipped i mean dropped off at my local shipping center, fedex picks up from them on Mondays. I ship with GoinPostal and they e-mail tracking numbers on the day the shipper picks up, thus Monday.


The item is on the way, i am sorry that this whole thing turned into an episode because i "logged in at 2pm", like i said this is my homepage and if i had the tracking number in my inbox then i would have sent it.

Yeah, that's what I'm pissed off about too. I don't even want a PowerBook, but $500 for a 1.5 with SuperDrive? I love the PowerBook keyboard BTW, better action than the new MBP keyboards.

Anyway, hopefully all's well that ends well.
