I was recently talking to a friend of mine, who as always wanted an apple. She is going to be getting a macbook this summer but also was looking to buy my iMac from me.

Honestly I never thought about selling my baby until then, and I have been wondering what I should ask for it. I would turn right around and order another iMac with the money I got from this one, plus I need a new laptop this summer so I do kind of need a good deal out of it.

She is also my friend so I need a good price to work for both of us. the iMac is a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz, 20", 250GB HD, New wired keyboard, 2Gb of RAM, Will come with leopard, Final Cut, Adobe CS3 Suite, and my iPod touch.

I was hoping 2K so I can get a nice Alu 2.4 24" iMac, but I just need a suggestion I don't buy used so I don't know of any sites to compare this to except macofalltrades.com and they didn't really have an exact match. plus all of my goodies.

2K sounds about right for that model, plus the iPod Touch. (Although maybe something like $1700 or $1800 if it's a really good friend. :))

Shes a good friend but not that good haha, nah I am really just looking for a happy price. If 2K is about right then that sounds good it is just about what I would need to put the money back into a newer iMac.

It's a good thing this thread got an estimate before a mod spotted it.... :D

I'd say $1950.

These quotes are probably all assuming those software licenses are legitimate, which I'm not 100% sure they are.

If they are, then $2000 is a very fair price. If they're less then, I would say you should be shooting at closer to $1500 with the iPod thrown in.

Check Mac2Sell (http://www.mac2sell.net) for the iMac. The software, I don't know.

Very interesting site...thanks for sharing. I hope it's right, say's my 24" AL 4gb/750gb is worth $2030 and my older 1.83 C2D 17" is 900... hmmmmm.....

Cool site!

Uhh... I don't think an old 20" should go for more than the new 24". Unless, like the others said... the software is coming with legit licenses. Sounds like this friend isn't really a friend since you're willing to take advantage of them.

The iMac by itself is about $1100. iPod touch depends on capacity. The software is only worth something if legit.

You're like those guys on craigslist that try to get $3000 for their old MacBook Pro's because of "all the software that's bundled with it."

Hopefully I'm wrong, and Leopard, Adobe CS3, and Final Cut are legitimately bought...
