Top notch computer, If my current PB wasn't great I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't expect this to go for under 400.

(PS, I'd remove the part saying you'll include a Tiger install before someone gives you crap about it, technically you have to include all software you list to sell in the Marketplace)

I know somebody who owns one of these running Leopard, personally I think these are the best looking laptops Apple has made, the screen is just sooo thin and nice. The Keyboard is great too.

Good luck.

Is $400 a fair offer...?

I'd buy it if you were shipping internationally

Yes, I'll consider your offer, but it's a little lower than I want (close to $450). If I don't get any others I may take you up on it. Is that $400 shipped or before shipping?

What's your zip code and I could get you a shipping quote. I'd ship internationally if the price is right.

I got an insane shipping cost from FedEx (How to people ship overseas?!)... I suppose shipping internationally is out of the picture.

How is the battery life?

Nearly brand new, under 100 Cycles, so when fully charged the meter gives close to 4 hours.

I am very interested in this, hopefully you still have it after this weekend. I am not too familiar with the older Powerbooks, but does this have a PCMCIA card slot? If so, would I be able to use my AT&T 3G PC Card with it? Also, do these Powerbooks support core image (e.g. widget ripple effect)? Thanks

It says "PCI Slot" is available on about this mac and there is a slot on the side with an ejection mechanism. I'm assuming that's PCMCIA, but I can't be for sure. I assume it would support core image, how can I check? I know it has 64mb of VRAM via it's ATI card.

In tiger/leopard dashboard, do the widgets make a ripple when you drag them onto the dashboard? I'm thinking the next revision powerbook supported core image but I am unsure. Thanks

It DOES have a PCMCIA slot, but no CoreImage. See here: http://gallery.mac.com/james_hensley#100061/SG1L1749&bgcolor=black

I would buy it, if I could, but I bought a BlackBook instead :). I used to have a TiBook, but I needed to sell it to pay for rent, but, it was amazing when I had it, :).

priority mail to the UK via USPS is only about 40-50 bucks for a 10lb package... I'd assume this would be about that if not less. That's only an extra 20-30lbs. That's not really that bad if he's willing to pay. Was fed ex much worse?

Something close to $100 via Priority (after dimensions are taken at the actual post office), $200+ via FedEx and UPS. It's 13.3Lb package. 20Lx20Wx12H coming from 40475. You can check if you want, perhaps I'm doing something erroneous.

With $500 of insurance it's about $72 for International Priority Mail, which has tracking and takes about 6-10 days.

Based on quotes from other international carriers, such as UPS, DHL and FedEx, this is by far the cheapest method.

The killer is the box size - most of the international freight carriers charge more by volume than weight, and the size of that box puts it in a tier for 35 pound shipments, rather than 13 or 14.
