I created a fully compiled SheepShaver Install. It has everything you need and is surprisingly fast!
My last release was damaged upon download as I didnt zip it in a folder. Now...I Hope it will work for you.
Post on how it goes.

Thanks!
How do you copy files/apps to the OS9 on SheepShaver?
After reading the note, it's clear, thanks again.

MOunt the included 1200MB DMG on OSX, drag the apps onto it. then dismount and move the DMG into the 'Shared' folder on OSX...Sheepshaver will recognize it.
Edit: Oh okay :D. Posted this before your edit.

OS 9, although no longer available from Apple, is not abandonware. The 9.0.4 download you refer to is a free update, which requires an earlier (paid) version of OS 9 to be installed on your system.
Please do not post this again.
Interested users can get SheepShaver here (http://gwenole.beauchesne.info/projects/sheepshaver/) and then use the instructions given there for obtaining ROMs from their own Classic OS discs.
