Feeler: 1GB iBook RAM

Want to get 1GB in my iBook. I understand they take DDR SODIMMs? I've got a DDR2 one, and i've been told that they're just ever so slightly different.

How much would a 1GB stick be? Just looking at the moment, im a little broke. I can swap my DDR2 one for a DDR one....
