Is that for a fully working D70, plus lens and battery, for $70 shipped?

I know you said that you would only ship to USA addresses, but I really want this! I'm in the UK...

In that case, I'd offer $100 shipped to the UK.

Cheers,

Ryan

EDIT. Sorry, I thought the D70 is the digital one! But from your title... is it film? If its film, then I'll back out thanks!

I'd be interested in some pics of the Mamiya 645, is it a kind that normally uses a prism for the viewfinder or do you not need it? and is it a 120mm camera?

Darn. I missed it. Could have made a quick few hundred bucks re-selling it on eBay. A used Mamiya like this tyically sells for $600. Actually I would have used it not resold it.

Who ever bought the Mamiya. I have some 120 film in my freezer, all kinds of edds and ends. Figure out a fair price it you need it.

You're thinking of one of the newer models.

This is an older one... about 100-150...

I'm not sure where - even on eBay a full M645 Super setup with lens and prism finder won't clear $400. I just bought a pristine M645 Super body for $35 the other day, for example. This is an early M series model, not a Super, and has a fixed film holder and max shutter speed of 1/500.

Film camera values, other than specialty cameras such as large format or panoramic cameras, have really gone in the bucket over the past few years. I can only assume that digital has driven them there, despite there being digital backs for many of these cameras. Granted, a digital back for an M645 Super is upwards of $10k, but you could still utilize all the glass and other goodies you already have...

I plan on giving it a workout after it gets benched to check shutter speeds, apertures, and a good cleaning. It will be well cared for.

It sucks too, because a $100 film camera with a good lens still has much better quality then a $1,000 digital camera, and once you do large format, the difference is just astonishing, and a large format digital bad is obscenely expensive.

True. I bought my first digital camera, a Nikon D50, and while I like the ease of use and ability to take literally thousands of images with a couple of SD cards, the glass is really substandard.

Nothing like a good film camera and some really good optics. So I have to scan things to get them on the computer....

This seller ROCKS! I got the camera today (he shipped it Friday) and it is as good if not better than described - not to mention he found an additional accessory and tossed it in as a part of the deal.

Thanks a bunch!
