iMac superdrive update in Panther

The "iMac SuperDrive Update 1.0" always showed up in Software Update window even when it is not required. When I clicked to install it, it downloaded successfully but failed to install with the message "Your computer does not need this update." What would be the problem? How can I get rid of the "Superdrive update" entry in Software Update?

The configuration is

iMac 15" LCD
800MHz G4
SuperDrive

I have the same computer, and I also keep getting that in Software Update.

It's quite annoying.

select it and click on "make inactive" in the menubar.
