Still trying to sell this....I'm preparing for cave training in a few months, like, cave diving...and it's an expensive hobby. Selling to help pay for cave diving!

Simply put, this is a directional antenna that improves your WiFi signal, often able to keep you surfing when Airport cannot get a strong enough signal. Is it hype? I don't think so, in my own testing I was pleasantly surprised, and I'm pretty certain it makes a difference. It wasn't able to do what I wanted it to--get me WiFi in my dorm room. The buildings here are built purposefully to keep you from getting wifi in your rooms, it seems. Cellphone signals don't really penetrate in here either, I have to go outside to call. WiFire couldn't help me here. But in applications where your walls aren't solid cement/cinderblock or whatnot, it seems to work fine, and helped me connect faster almost every time (except when extremely close to the Wifi signal origin, then Airport worked almost better.

It's made by hField technologies, and it's called the WiFire, if you want to look it up online.

I got it and don't ever use it, since I'm on a wired network in my dorm, no wireless signals around at all. (they build the dorms like faraday cages...I can barely use my cellphone in here even!)

$50 shipped in the US.
