Ok i am looking for a very! Very! inexpensive laptop that will do internet only important thing is that it has Ethernet, wireless would be a plus but not needed. Battery does not need to hold charge... just need the ac adapter. I am looking for something cheap for internet only, looking to spend less than $100
It does not need to have xp especially if you will charge less if it is not included. I dont want to pay more for an operating system I already own:D

I have feedback on both ebay and here

ebay id: origsirthor

I have an older Dell laptop that I can re-install XP Pro on for you. I believe it is a PIII with maybe a 15gb hard drive? Runs well, not sure of the batter life or anything but I do have the AC adapter. I could let it go for $50 plus actual shipping. I can get you the complete specs on it when I get home from work. Let me know if you would be interested in something like this.

Hey there!

This might be a little out of your range, but I have a Toshiba A80 laptop with the following:

Celeron M 1.5GHz (From Fall 2006)
768MB RAM
40GB HD
DVD/CD-RW
Ethernet
Internal wireless card doesn't work

$140, shipped I'm thinking. XP Home is installed, has the restore disks with drivers and everything.

Hey, That sounds awesome! I would love to find out the actual specs!, A picture or 2 would be cool as well, This is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, and if anyone else has something like this let me know!

Alright it's a PIII 500 Mhz with a 10GB HDD and 192 MB of RAM.

It has a PCMCIA network card installed and the battery does hold a charge for maybe 30 minutes. Power adapter is in working order and the laptop is is pretty damn good shape for being 6 or 7 years old? There are a couple scuffs on the lid and on the actual screen but nothing too terrible. I the only time you can see the scuff on the screen is when the screen is black. It has a valid copy of Windows XP just freshly installed and I will include the genuine Dell restore disk (XP Pro). I also installed Firefox and AVG free and to be honest it doesn't run bad at all.

Hey there -- the discs came with it, and are tied to this laptop anyway, so that wouldn't make any difference in price. I can take some pictures tomorrow for you, if you would like. It has the manual and charger as well. The only other problem besides wireless is that one of the three USB ports is a bit goofy.

Alright, that's good, cuz I've sold it anyway now.... eek!

I do, however still have a Gateway Solo 5350:

Pentium IIIm 1.07GHz
512MB RAM
20GB HD
DVD-ROM/CD-RW
built-in modem/ethernet

Will let you deal w/your own OS if you want to... $100 shipped, even? I've invested waaayyy too much time/$$ in a new HD and RAM lol.

I have a 17" HP with a ~2.8 GHZ P4, 512MB ram, 80GB hard drive.

It'd be good for what you say. The battery only holds a couple minutes, but the AC adapter works (does require a bit of playing with to find the "sweet spot" but once found it'll work fine.) I haven't used it in about two years, and went to turn it on and just got a weird screen. If you have a copy of XP though I'm sure you could reinstall and start fresh on it. I don't think I have any of the discs or anything.

It's a lot more machine than anyone else has offered, but it'll need a little work.

If you're interested send me a PM and I'll get you some pics.

what is the weird screen? what does it say? It might be the hard drive.
