I'm not complaining - actually I look at it this way: The longer we wait for updates to the Mini and/or iMac, the better they will be. I'm betting on tomorrow though - maybe I'm wrong, we'll see.

You want some complaining? Wait till the updates finally do drop and all we get is a lousy cpu speed boost, then you will be reading of lots of complaints.

Usually these basic updates occur after some Best Buy inventor scu numbers appear, and that has not happened yet, not saying it needs to, but I think next week. There hasn't been enough last minute rumors about the iMac yet.

honestly... i'm still in shock about that... i was so completely ready for the iMac update last week, store went down, it was a tuesday morning, it was closely inline with rumors, what else could it have been.... aaannnnd final cut server was released... :confused:

maybe tonight they'll close the store down for new iPod Socks...

what's not to get? if you want to buy a new iMac, it's not ideal to buy one when the update is likely to happen at any moment... not exactly rocket science here...

Well for me it's because I usually don't get new computers often. So If I do plan to invest in something over a grand or so it minus as well be something that'll last a couple months before outdated again.
I'm not putting down the current iMac in anyway, they are more than capable of doing everything that is needed, and who knows the update might be tiny, can't hurt to wait. I still have my current 5 year old computer to use while I wait.

i was thinking of getting an updated mini if apple ever came out with one. i just checked the refurb site and they have the 2.0 core 2 duo on sale for $679. i'm just gonna get the refurb one and be happy with it :D it will do more than i will be using it for (internet, email, photo touchups...) ;)

I have an interview at an Apple store Thursday for the Mac Specialist job on the sales floor. I'm hoping it goes well. I'm way excited!!! I've been waiting for an iMac update since MacWorld in January. At this point, who knows when it's coming. Either way, I plan to buy an iMac once I get a job.
