I currently have a plain ole iPod Touch from November 07.
I'd really like to add the $20 applications without paying for them. (Sinful, I know)
Anyway to do this without jailbreaking or modifying the iPod Touch in any way?

What you are asking is tantamount to piracy, which is not allowed on these forums.

Why? Are they obtaining software for which they haven't paid?

I don't mean to be anal, but yes, they are. Seeing as you can add the "iPhone apps", which Apple charges $20 for on the Touch, for free it is "piracy".
We can dispute the $20 fee all you want, I don't like it but I paid it, but the fact is jailbreaking users receive this $20 software for nothing. That is piracy.
