I'm going to be selling it in a month or two, so I want to appraise its value first.

Blackbook
2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB Crucial RAM
160GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
All original disks and manuals, MagSafe adapter including Tiger restore disks
Very good condition, everything is original parts except for the battery, which is the second one in it

I was thinking around $900, and I could include a Cooler Master NotePal laptop cooler, which decreases my CPU temperatures by about ten degrees Celsius.

Also, I could include a full install of Leopard - the retail package you'd buy in stores - for maybe another $75.

Other opinions on price are obviously welcome.

That does seem on the high end. You would definitely need to include Leopard, with the actual DVD. Loading a computer with software without CDs does very little for the value. Since you can not reinstall and do not own the licenses.

$800 in two months - which is closer to the supposed release of redesigned MacBooks...

AppleCare until August - obviously it's extendable to August 2010 if someone wants to spend the money, and if they didn't buy the Leopard DVD I'd just install Tiger instead.

I would say 900 is possible.. especially on ebay... less if you want to sell quick...

Payment sent for the Macbook! So far, Menthol Moose has been a pleasure to deal with...he said he's shipping it out today; I'll update the thread with final feedback when I receive it.

Got the Macbook in a timely fashion. So far, it came with the F9 key broken off, the trackpad button stuck down, and a 3 inch scratch on the top of the casing.

I took it into the Apple Store and the key and trackpad issue will be covered under the 1 year warranty.

It was a pleasure doing business with menthol moose, just wish the few things that were messed up had been addressed. Thanks.

How much did you pay for it? Just curious.
