You've been suppressing it. You've denied everything when confronted. Hell, you've even joined this forum to cover the whole thing up. However, the fact remains:
YOU'RE CHEATING ON OS X.
Shame, shame. Your mother always tried to teach you the basic Rules of Life: Share, eat your cauliflower, be honest. She would weep if she saw you reading this thread.
However, since your barbaric disregard for ethics is already apparent to me and all the other good folks browsing the marketplace, I've got some.... items in which you may be interested.
All I ask in return for some or all of these items is a Mac, preferably a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Aluminum iMacs are good as well, but if you have something different, shoot me your offer by replying here or via PM.
On with the descriptions, eh?
My first item is a lovely IBM ThinkPad T43. For those of you still in denial about your extensive knowledge of the platform, (you scalawag) here are some specs on it.
-It packs an Intel Pentium M running at 2GHz. It's the last Pentium M, in fact, running with a 533MHz FSB.
-This 533MHz FSB enables it to use DDR2 memory, of which there is 1.5GB.
-Ever heard the saying, "every cloud has a silver lining"? Here's Exhibit A. While it has a svelte 40GB hard drive, it runs at 5400RPM for all of your filthy Windows needs.
-Ah, the "window into the Internet", as Steve Jobs said about the iMac's display in 1998..... but you don't care, do you? No you don't. You just want the quick and dirty about the damn thing's screen, don't you? Fine, here we go. It's a fairly nice 14" screen, running at 1400x1050. For those of you who like to pretend you still care about Macs, that's more pixels than the 15" MacBook Pro.
- As for the graphics (which you're going to be using to your full potential, because, like, PCs actually have decent games available... (Oh wait, you did say I could quote you on that to make you buy my stuff, right? Good.) It actually has dedicated graphics, which will dominate the iTunes visualizer at WUXGA on the external monitor I also have for sale. The chip is a 64MB ATI Radeon X300. Woo.
- Ports and slots make the world go round. We've got a nice Combo drive, 2 USB ports, audio in and out, VGA, S-Video, Gigabit Ethernet, a modem, and, of course, 2 PCMCIA slots.
- It has the best notebook keyboard on the face of the planet. Don't try to deny it.
- It weighs 4.9 pounds with battery installed. This battery holds a charge for two to three hours.
NOTE: The tough love stops here, as I'm getting tired.
The next item is another laptop of the Windows persuasion, a HP Pavilion ZV5000. This think is a tank. It's well loved, as the lid is very scratched up and the touchpad is worn a bit, but it works perfectly and has a new screen and hard drive.
Specs on this one:
- 1.7GHz AMD Atlon XP-M 3000+, for all of you AMDtards out there. Oh, BTW, ATI+AMD=DAAMIT. I just blew your mind, didn't I?
- 512MB RAM
- New 80GB 5400RPM HDD
- 15" glossy WXGA widescreen. Looks great, it's all bright 'n stuff.
- Combo drive
- Altec Lansing sound system. Let's just say that these suckers can make a baby cry when logging on.
- I think it has a GeForce 4 440 Go for graphics, but I'm not quite sure.
- Battery lasts just enough to carry around the house in search of an outlet, perhaps half an hour.
Ah, yes, the next item. This was actually purchased for my mother for Mother's Day, but she didn't want it. It's a new Dell Inspiron 531 desktop. Specs on it are:
- 2.1GHz dual-core AMD Athlon 64 X2
- 1GB DDR2
- 250GB HDD (7200RPM)
- I've put in a 256MB PCI-E graphics card. It's an EVGA GeForce 6200LE.
- dual-layer DVD burner
- 6 USB ports, 5.1 audio, etc
- Vista, but Linux can be installed if you like
- original box, CDs, manuals, foam pellets
And the last thing, a Dell E248WFP LCD monitor. Basically, it runs at 1920x1200, it's less than a month old, I have all boxes and manuals and cables for it, and it's pretty.
Supports:
-VGA
-DVI
-HDCP
It's 24 inches, widescreen.
Well, I think that's just about -- oh, never mind.
I've got a G3 upgraded to a G4 at 500MHz with no hard drive and 512MB RAM to include as well, if you're really interested.
