Hey, I don't even have 10.5.3 yet, but this thread is for those of you waiting for 10.5.4 to fix whatever 10.5.3 just broke for you.

A little early, I know, but hey, the early bird gets the most pickings.

Ok, start posting 10.5.4 related stuff!

You don't have 10.5.3, and you started a "waiting for 10.5.4" thread. That's... wierd.

I'm waiting for 10.7.4. That way, most of the bugs should be worked out and my iPad Nano Pro's holographic Multi-Touch display will seem snappier.

You have to be kidding me.

Yes I am :P

This thread is more of a spoof of the "Waiting for 10.5.3" thread that appeared minutes after 10.5.2 appeared on the Software Update list.

But hey, if people are genuinely waiting for 10.5.4 then they can post here :P Not gonna stop them :P

I want to know what is up with the cache location that appeared to change to an incorrect location with 10.5.2, and is still there in 10.5.3.

I want Apple to do something about the crappy Cache database (sqlite 3) that fragments the file and the database itself all to heck.

Even Firefox 3 is using sqlite 3 now, and it results in crap performance if you don't make frequent interventions to defragment it internally and externally.

I may file a bug report with Apple on the whole sqlite thing. The sqlite people know about the issue (that's why they call it lite), but consider it to be something the developer should address (i.e. Apple).

Folks have discovered that running the sqlite3 vacuum command against their Envelope Index makes Mail load much faster. And I have found defragmenting Safari cache to make a significant difference.

The only Apple software I feel seriously needs updating is iTunes (which will probably come with a new QuickTime), it just seems so out of place.

haha what the?

The only Apple software I feel seriously needs updating is iTunes (which will probably come with a new QuickTime), it just seems so out of place.

iTunes needs Time Machine browsing like Finder, Mail, iPhoto and Addy Book. also chuck in iCal for the hell of it.

Screw this... I'm officially waiting for Mac OS XI. The line starts here.

What I meant is how iLife seems really unified, and iTunes is kind of separate - The scrollbars are different unless you use hacks, background scrolling doesn't work live, its slow to start especially with larger libraries.

Can we expect the jump to Mac OS XI 11.1.1 sometime soon?

Can we merge this with the "waiting for 4G iPhone" thread? :)

I'm actually waiting for teleporters. That way, I wont need the wikipedia I could go to the great wall of china or sydney opera house. We could even have proper big MacRumor meetups, because if you get bored you could just leave... or pop in during main course and pudding your mum has made for you :D

I wonder if my teleporter will run Mac OS Embedded? Perhaps use iPhone's localisation technique to work out where you want to go...
