Speaking of Ambrosia Software, they've got Escape Velocity: Nova. Great shareware game.

Unlike Windows in VPC, Linux on a Mac runs fast (native speed). I haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason for a Linux game to run any slower than an OS X-native one.

yea Linux will run fine on your mac, you can still have both Os'es on yer mac
if you have two HDs then its seventh heaven..Mac OS on one and Linux for games on the other

there is no reason why the mac gaming community cannot exploit this feature! Linux is after all free, there are always lots of Linux Game Ports and they are free also.
as we all know VPC is incapable of running high end Games
i personaly run yellow dog linux and mac os x on my G4, Linux was hard to learn at first but now im getting the hang of it!
i must add however that i prefer Mac OS X.3  yea

I read Pat Miller's (macgamer.com) review of Hollow Ground and downloaded this Gauntlet style MacOS 9/X game. It is great and you should check it out at

The graphic is functional and cool, but the real asset is the gameplay and replayability of this baby. I have spent countless hours and have even recently registered it. Read the manual though, it is not as simple as it seems... Spend some hours to evalute it, or you might be put off by its retro style before you get what it is all about.
