**SOLD** FS: Damaged 1.33GHz 17" PowerBook G4 | 80GB HDD | 1GB-RAM **SOLD**

Hi All!

Up as a feeler (and eventually FS) is a damaged 1.33GHz 17" PowerBook G4. I bought this originally in October 2003 and have since upgraded to a SR Black MacBook, so I no longer need this machine.

Specifications:
-1.33GHz PowerPC G4 processor
-512K SRAM L2 cache
-167MHz system bus
-1GB-RAM (two SO-DIMM slots support up to 2GB)
-80GB 4200-rpm HDD
-Slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW)
-Original box and documentation (with restore discs for Jaguar)

Known issues:
-Hinges are damaged and do not allow laptop lid to fully close
-Latch mechanism does not hold lid shut (this is also partly due to the damaged hinges)
-SuperDrive does not function
-Battery has never been replaced/changed (charge lasts ~15-mins)
-Screen is not as bright as it used to be
-A couple of dings/dents/scratches here and there, but overall casing is in good condition for a 4.5/5 year old machine

Sad to see this machine go, but it's been a great desktop machine and time has come to part ways. For those not sure about Leopard, I indeed was able to run Mac OS X 10.5 smoothly albeit a bit slow.

Sold to me! Thanks avigalante for a fantastic transaction, you've been by far the best transaction I've had on macrumors and I've had a lot. Powerbook was sold to me and included all original packaging and paperwork. It also came shipped with ups ground (I didn't pay anything for shipping so I was expecting some cheap usps shipping) and packed very well with lots of packing peanuts.
