I want to say to all those that celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving. It is a great day to be with family and friends. Most of a day to give thanks for our many blessings.

thanksgiving ;) My family has had an enormous honeybaked ham I think its called, for thanksgiving once! Pretty tasty ;)

It's isnt about the food really, its about everyone attempting to come together without fighting, to enjoy being together :)

our family has never fought but i always found large gatherings a very tense thing

and this whole season from mid november to new years is a stressful time in general and it has taken me years to learn to relax just a tiny bit in those tense six weeks ending the year

somewhere...he he...i thought this time of year was for religious celebration;)

if god is listening right now, please make the holiday season in april...at least religious experts say that is when christ was born in the first place;)

At my school its not called Thanksgiving anymore, Its called "Turkey Day". Yeah "Turkey Day" It seems as if tehy have forgotten the real meaning of this holiday. Its not a day to give thanks to god anymore, Its a day for them to stuff their little fat faces with trukey, ham, peach cobbler, and so on. And its a day off too...

that's why it's a good idea to spread out the religious holidays and have christmas in the spring so by the time it rolls around we can focus on the reason for the season

but the way it is now, when the season rolls around to december 25th, most of us are dog tired and sick of the hustle and bustle of the season, the shopping, the increased traffic, etc...it's really the worst time of all to celebrate any religious holiday since goodwill to mankind is not at all on the minds of the macy's day shoppers looking for a bargain:p

I'm never tired of it; by Christmas, I'm always ready for more. Call me crazy, but there is no happier time of the year for me than the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
:) :p :D :p :)

Well, I guess I should be content with the 4 pies I'm having. I might even share them with the guests.

I just returned from a meal with my wife and 8 other friends. We had 2 20lb turkeys with a lot of left overs for us to bring home.

One of them has a sister. She get's together with her husbands family. It's on a farm. Just happens to have a resturant on the property. So they use it for the celebration with about 100 family members. They usually cook 3 35lb turkeys. The resturant kitchen makes a nice place to cook the meal. One end of the resturant has an ice cream parlor. What a great place for the dessert.
