View Full Version : 802.11g screwing up my tv

i recentlly set up a small 802.11g network using 2 "Buffalo AirStations" (cheep base stations <$100) and ever since it has been serewing up my tv, it goes static and lines apear on the screen. i have digital cable and this issue only appeared after i installed the basestations
anyone know anything about this?

Sounds like feedback on the power lines. Coax cable is very resilliant against EM interference (As any Physics II student will attest). If you use RCA jacks to go from your cable box (or VCR) to you TV, try a new Coax cable. Also make sure your base stations are on surge protectors, and that the TV is on a surge protector, with COAX protection. If that doesn't work, then call the cable company, you may be interfeering with their switch outside, and its their responsibility to fix it. In fact complain first, they will fix it, and give you a refund for the problem to your cable (Usually).

the cheap way would be to seperate the device with some distance and plug them into different circuts in the wall.
