Newbie question on adrenaline in UT2K3

Just got UT a few weeks ago, and haven't yet tried anything online. Still struggling with the bots at the higher two difficulty levels. Great game, though. Speed is okay but not great on my 1.25x2, with all settings maxed. Have noted MacBandit's speed tweaks mentioned in another thread.

Anyway, the wimpy manual doesn't say a thing about how to "use" adrenaline (all it says is "...provides you with the extra energy need to execute special adrenaline abilities"). I see bots getting super speed, invisibility, and other attributes I can only guess at. I pick up dozens of adrenaline without knowing how to make use of it.

Help, please?

Also -- I've searched the net for UT2K3 "tips and tricks" without much success (not cheats, just tips). Any recommendations?

backwards 4x - Booster - regenerates health/shields
right 2x, left 2x - invisibility (bots will still be able to see you)
forward 4x - speed
forward 2x, back 2x - berserk (not really sure what it does)
right 4x - camoflauge - (Epic Bonus Pack, must be enabled by separate mutator)
left 4x - pint sized (Epic Bonus Pack, must be enabled by seperate mutator)
