I've seen and posted about this before. I'm posting this today to let people know how to fix it.

I took it to an apple seller and they saw the problem and ordered an new 9800 ATI card for me. Now everything sounds great! The job was still under apple warranty. (You do not need apple care)

you'd think replacing the fan would be cheaper than replacing the card, but i wouldn't say anything about getting a whole new card.
