The thread for everyone to post their own December desktop. And for once, this thread has been started on the correct month.
Here is my desktop:

well when a bird hits a powerline at 40mph....
seriously tho it is a long exposure shot of some nicely colored christmas lights. I got the design effect by moving the camera in that pattern as the camera was recording the picture :)
Here is another using the same effect:

Thanks znavyzjdjddjdsj ;) I wish I had time to copy your handle down but alas I do not ;) lol :D
It is a fun technique, and isnt actually what my camera is doing per se...It is taking a 'night' shot which means it is trying to take in as much light as possible to make a decent pic. well that works horrible in most cases, but as I would figure out later, all its doing is exposing the picture for a max of 7secs as it tries to focus and get some light in :)
neat stuff eh :)

Well, last night I downloaded about 350 desktop pictures from all my favorite car manufacturers. Obviously I'm not going to share them all with you :p. I have them change every five minutes. I'll probably use them till next year when the '05's are out.

its all done in Lightwave3D v 7.5c. The nebula was hand drawn in photoshop and loaded as a texture to a 3D object to give it depth.
I'm really happy with the test animations too....but I'm working on other parts right now, no more space for the time being.

Here's mine, I found a load of images of the Warwick bass collection, this is a newer version of my 5-string, the Thumb.
Not to bug everyone, but for those of use who don't have enormous monitors, could we resize the images to 800*600 or thereabouts?
Ultralarge (i.e. lifesize resolution) images really mess with the formatting of the forums.
Anyways, here's mine.

my god, that site is slow as frozen molasses. are you on 56K? i can't imagin how anyone but a 56k user could ever tolerate that site speed. it makes my college multiple T1/T3 LAN feel like 56K or worse. shame, shame, shame.

Looking at all these desktop photos made me wonder, who has the longest "uptime" on their Mac. With all the updates and security patches, I can't seem to get mine above 6 days.
