Sorry to bother with this thread but I joined the forums hoping to be able to post in the marketplace but it doesn't allow anyone to start a thread without a certain number of posts. Anyways, I was wondering how much my 15" Powerbook G4 1.5 Ghz laptop is worth. It has 80 GB hard drive, 1.5 GB Ram, Mac OS X 10.5 installed, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64 MB VRAM, and CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive combo. It has no scratches, no dents, no dead pixels, no missing keys, no paint chips, just absolutely no wear and tear. She is my baby and I have taken care of it for 4 years and still runs perfect with Mac OS X 10.5. I was curious as to what you guys thought she was worth since I was planning on selling her towards a purchase of the new iMac's. I was thinking around $700 maybe $800. What are your thoughts???

500-650.

PPC programs are strarting to thin out. and half the reason of owning an older powerbook is support for clasic programs which was dropped in 10.5 .

At first I thought 600 would be sufficient but I have seen many others able to sell on ebay and in the marketplace for as much as 800 with less specs then my powerbook and more wear and tear. What also would be the best way to sell it (ebay or the marketplace here) along with price?

IMO, you're more likely to fetch a higher price on eBay as the majority of the buyers there aren't as up-to-date on Apple pricing as most here are.

If you have a good ebay feedback rating like 100 percent with my transactions, ebay would probably get you more money. Make sure to includes lots of pictures with the auction.

Thanks for the information. I forgot to also include that I have all the original packaging, cds, and cables. Would this also increase the price any?

Sorry..."price check" threads are also required to be posted in the Marketplace, and as you noted, you don't have enough posts to be eligible to start threads there.
