View Full Version : Diablo II: Unlock Cinematics?

I've been playing Diablo II lately on my fianceés PC because I'm on a 400 MHz G3 and she has a 1.2 GHz AMD. I went and beat it (with my Battle.net character) and I didn't get to watch the last three cinematics clearly because, although the game runs more smoothly on her machine, the cinematics are sloppy.

So, I want to watch them on my computer, but, although I access my Battle.net character from this computer it does not unlock the other cinematics.

How else can I do this?

Some odd battle.net problem...

I found on an older computer that the problem with the cinematics was poor CD-ROM access reliability and if I made a disk image of the CD and mounted it and ran the game from that the cinematics ran smoothly from the HD.

I'm certain you can download a "save" or "cheat" to unlock the cinematics... I know you can do this for WarCraft III at least. It actually just unlocks all the levels for WarCraft III (which includes the cinematics).

Try copying your character file from the pc to the mac and see what happens.

that would work, except for the fact that the first character was on closed battle.net -- no files to copy :/

Yep. And I've looked around on Google for answers to this but haven't found any...

Seems to be broken links here...

I got this "movies.reg" file from Blizzard.com but I don't know what the hell to do with it, and any of the obvious doesn't work...might work on PC, but of course that doesn't help at all :)

movies.reg is a windows registry file... you can't use it.
