A list of the changed files in the new update is here:

We should be seeing this soon.

The new NV and ATI drivers are known. Of particular interest to me were all the changed audio related files. I really think there is a lot of room for performance enhancements in Apple's implementation of soft audio. That might help us in games.

well this is good news being bad gaming on the mac is usually due to poor programming (warcraft 3 being an example of what a game should play like). The audio drivers could easily enhance the performance because audio accounts for much of the performance in a game, guess we will have to wait and see once its released, unless somebody here on the board has tried with the beta floating around.

Hee hee.

The 7500 uses the RADEON driver (it is the same chip, only manufactured using a better process).

The 9000 uses the RADEON 8500 driver (it is the same chip, only manufactured using a better process and with a few corrections).

Don't worry - I think we will be seeing some nice improvements.
