iPod recharge

Hi,
I just charged my iPod last weekend. We were supposed to go away this week, and had to reschedule. So I put it into the charger this morning and it has been recharging for 2 hours now and still looks like it is charging. I haven't used it, and I always put the "safety" on when I store it.

Is this normal????

yes this is normal...its because it uses a little bit of power even when its off. look here for more info:

my orginal iPod usually lasts about 2 1/2 weeks unused.
