Hi All,

I'm contemplating jumping to a MBP and would need to sell my current MB to make it happen.

It's a white C2D dual-core 2.0GHz, 80GB HD, 3GB RAM with box, discs, etc. all in like-new condition (battery at 96% health with less than 50 cycles). I also would be including a 13" iLap stand, mini-to-DVI adapter, and an extra Apple AC adapter (I like to leave one in my computer room and have another to travel with).

mac2sell shows the MB alone at $1040 or so. I was thinking $1000 + $50 shipping for the entire package. Does that sound reasonable? High/low?

Thanks,
Mike

It sounds high. Check the prices for refurbished MacBooks for comparison.

would you be willing to sell parts of package?

Is this the superdrive model or the combo drive? With your specs, it could be either. Which chipset? 10.4 or 10.5? iLife 06 or 08?

You might be able to get that on ebay, but probably not around here. People tend to use the refurbished prices as a reference point, and you can get an SR 2.2 for $999 and the new penryn 2.4 for $1050. Ram is cheap (4gb = $80) and pretty much everyone here is willing to do it themselves.

Good luck.

You're probably looking at $850 - $900 around here; you could get $1050 or more on ebay.

Hi,

Thanks for the input so far!

My MB is the upper-end model with the SuperDrive. I upgraded to 10.5 + iLife 08 on it although the restore discs are 10.4/06. Chipset is the one right before SR -- 3GB max RAM, which is why I stopped at 3GB.

If you're selling it upgraded, you've gotta include the discs for 10.5 and iLife '08. If you don't have them or don't want to get rid of them, you'll have to have Tiger and iLife '06 installed.
