WANTED: iPod Video - any generation..

Some punk kids broke into my car (while it was in my driveway) and took my 30G ipod video and left my Garmin Nuvii and Sirius radio, my canon $300 lense and a bunch of other stuff.. thats how i know they are some punk kids..

ANYWAYS, i want to get another ipod video. I am willing to buy ANY ipod that has video and is 30g or more.. So classics, ect are good..

a professional photographer broke into your car.. HUH.. OR some drug addict broke into your car and took anything that looked electronic and just sold it to some pawn shop guy for 1/2 or less of what it is worth..

Sorry dude, but that was kind of uncalled for. The OP had something crappy happen to him. If you're attempting to point out his generalizations then this is the time when it's easy to let something like that slide. Sure it could have been an adult, but a punk is a punk and whatever the age the person was clearly a punk. ;)

lindsayanng I've been considering selling my 60gb with the Agent 18 case but I was thinking I should sell it with the Altec Lansing InMotion (IM3) speakers. The speakers do not have the remote any longer. If you're interested PM me and maybe we can work out a price. I still have the box to the iPod and I'm sure I could scrounge up the USB cable if you need/want it. I haven't thought of a price but I'm sure we could work something out. The only thing is I'll need to call around to the Apple stores and see if they have the new Altec Speakers for the iPhone in stock. The website says 3-4 weeks on delivery and they claim they work with the new 3G iPhone (Apple stated that today). I'd like to get those speakers before I sell the iPod.

We can work out the details and such, but let me know what you were really looking to spend.

Nah, just some light sarcasm. My wife and I got a fairly nice stereo system put in our car a couple years ago, and that night a punk broke in and stole it. I'm fairly sure I could pick this punk out of a lineup, since I have the nasty suspicion that said punk put the stereo in the car in the first place. I mean, it's an amazing coincidence.

And I might be naïve, but I expected a bit more from the police. When I called them and the cop drove out, his exact words were "and what do you want me to do about it?"

Granted, there are real crimes going on in Bowling Green, Ohio -- I'm sure that somewhere, in a dorm room, some kid is smoking a joint, and somewhere else, there's an eighteen-year-old drinking an alcoholic beverage. If you looked hard enough, you might even find someone not putting a dime in their parking meter.

But is it too much for me to ask that you file a police report so I can claim it on my insurance?

Sorry for sticking my nose in, especially on MacRumors where off-topic posts are considered akin to pederasty, but I just wanted to rib you a bit good-naturedly. Not to say that you got off light, since I bet this is coming 100% out of your pocket... but I've found that sarcasm and bitterness will help me to live with the stupendous population of idiots and *******s that inhabit this best of all possible worlds. I try to share sarcasm and bitterness with others, and help them to appreciate the healing qualities of this oft-maligned spiritual elixir :D

its all good.. I'm thick skinned and that barely grazed it anyways.. I also THINK i have a good idea on which kids (and they are KIDS 14-16) that took it.. they stole the ipod and the CHANGE IN MY CUP HOLDER and left the GPS and SIRIUS.. definitely kids.

The cops showed up and we live in a small town on the suburbs of New Haven (where Yale is) and they said they dont even have a WAY to finger print.> They said even if they did finger print, they have to manual look at them and compare through an eyeloop.. Funny huh?? they said all the big crimes the New Haven Police come in and take over.. So they just took the report and asked if we wanted a copy for insurance.. My deductable is too high.

So ANYWAYS!!! my hubby and i work REALLY hard to have our little apple gadgets, and i bought that one CHEAP ($60) on craigslist and was SOO proud of it. I had it for about 2 years and NOW it gets stolen.. GRRR.. So ANYTHING with video and 30+gigs would be nice. a nano would be my only other choice if i can not find anything in my price range, so i will keep ya in mind.

I have an 80gig black ipod classic mint condition not a scratch on it, put a chrome protective case over it the minute i bought it making the screen immune to scratches and smudges, debris, etc. the chrome case mirrors the screen through so you can still see it mint its pretty sick.
