fizzies were these large wafers that you dropped into a glass of water and they...well, fizzed. they came in flavors such as grape and cherry though they all pretty much tasted the same...like weak kool-aid. my grandparents always had them. who knows, maybe they were just tums or something...i was young.:D

btw, orange kool-aid always gave me a headache...strange huh?

Well at one time I was partial to vodka-flavored purple kool-aid, but it makes my stomach burn too much now.:p

Had watermelon today. Quite refreshing if I must say so myself. As for email. Nope Have not gotten anything from you in forever.

Mangoberry. That is the best. I don't know if they still make that flavor, but I bought enough of that a while back to last me for decades.

I think this Kool-Aid has been done before.

It's been so long since I had some. Cherry and grape are the only flavors that I remember having. Who drank orange kool-aid when you had Tang!. The astronauts drank it. ;)

Strawberry and lemonade flavors mixed together are very good! Although I only drink kool-aid about once a year now.

Hey, does anyone own the old kool-aid pitcher? You know the one, with the little face on one side of it. I still have the one that my mother bought when I was a child. In fact, that's the ONLY thing we'll make kool-aid in when we have it! :) :p

This thread is more fun than a flash flood in a Fizzie factory. We've always used that expression in our family, even though we rarely see Kool-Aid or Fizzies. Sorry, I don't have a favorite flavor.

My wife and I have a stash of Watermelon Cherry (her favorite) and I have Black Cherry and Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade stashed away as well! We luv da Kool-Aid!

awesome. strangely enough, i have seen watermelon cherry more readily available in stores overseas (on military bases specifically)... it's interesting to look at the various flavors as they are in different countries... some of the names are pretty funny. how they try to get them to be more country/culture specific. hah

i actually haven't drank kool aid in months... but i'm still quite the connoisseur

In the 60s, Pillsbury came out with "Funny Face" drinks to compete with Kool-Aid (story (http://www.bigredtoybox.com/cgi-bin/toynfo.pl?funfacindex)).

They had to rename two of the characters (Chinese Cherry and Injun Orange), which were not what you'd call culturally sensitive (story (http://www.retrocrush.com/archive2/offensive/)).

I think Goofy Grape stole the hat from Cap'n Crunch.
