I'm not proud to say this, but, I have accumulated a virus (or malware or whatever) on my mac.
I don't really know how it has happened, or why...
It keeps deleting all my files and changing passwords, I would really appreciate some help if you can give some.
Thanks

Well if you gave us a few more details it would help.
You're a bit vague… ;)

While nothing is impossible, it's extremely unlikely that you have a virus. Have you opened Activity Monitor to see what programs are running?

Definitely more details are needed on this before any conclusion could be reached or help offered...
but you can start with ClamXav (http://www.clamxav.com/)

Are you sure no-one is pulling your leg...?
I.e. using Apple Remote Desktop software?
There have been a few "proof of concepts" virus like scripts etc. around on the web for Mac OS X, but these types of malware needed your admin password to be "installed", which means that the user must have done a deliberate action...
I think the most famous one was the cronjob script which altered your DNS settings to another server, which was "installed" when you had been browsing some pron sites, and the site prompted you to install a "codec"... so you had to download it, and type your pasword to install it...

Before anyone else takes this seriously, take a look at his join date of the forum, no sig, no info explaining what is actually happening. Most likely he doesn't even own a Mac and is probably a jealous Windows user trying to start false rumors. :p

On the off chance that you are legitimately asking for help, please PM a mod to have the thread unlocked....
