This guy shows how to make a G4 cube into a G5 Looking cube. Its sweet looking. It is in japanese, but its still cool.

The Cubes wouldn't boot on their sides without a very clever mod to the switch mechanism.

Can someone please translate this so I don't go nuts trying to figure out the HW hack this guy (may have) pulled off??

Other than that.... It's what the Cube should have been all along. Having the switch and slot-loader on top was a nightmare.:rolleyes:

It seems to me that I booted my cube several times on its side... :confused:

There was a mercury switch that immediately put them to sleep when tilted to prevent them from overheating. This was a good thing considering how unsteady they were once you lifted them up. If you weren't careful *BANG* face-first.

My other question is: how long did he fiddle with the touch-sensor to calibrate it for the new switch cover?
