Any one have there 900Mhz ibook in the shop?

Sent my 900Mhz 14" ibook into apple monday. The screen went dead, and it is nothing that i did. At first i though it was a fluke, but then i went to the apple disscusion boards and found out that alot of people are having the same problem. Some people have sent their ibook in mutlipal times with the same problem. There is also talk that apple is having a hard time getting the parts to fix the problem. Some people have been waiting for 3 weeks.

I just wanted to know how my people have recently sent in their ibook? How long did it take to get it back. I know if it takes longer thant the quoted 5-7 day, i am going to have a word with my local apple store. I can understand that i may take 5-7 days but any more than that is unacceptable.

I sent mine in for a new HD and logic board in October (iBook 900/12.1" purchased 7/03). It was back within about 4 or 5 days.

where's quality control?

they must of fell asleep when it comes to ibook. or they where off by a few power of 10 on ther mean time between failure(MTBF)
