I have a G4 Powerbook. Purchased in 2003. Is in good condition. New hard drive and logic board - 2007 [replaced by Apple]. Needs a new battery - this one will hold a charge for about 20 minutes before dying. Today, I broke off the "]" and "\" keys, and I don't know how to get them back on. Has Leopard installed.

If I want to sell this machine to get money for a new MacBook, where do you think I would be able to make the most money? I am a bit leery of ebay due to their new fee structure.

Also, do you have any idea how much I could sell it for? I imagine whoever buys it will want it for parts or something.

Thanks in advance...

You need to be more specific about WHICH PBG4 you have. 12, 15 or 17"? Processor speed, RAM, graphics, hard disk, optical drive?

From there, see what a used one matching your specs gets on eBay and then you'll probably want to subtract the cost of a replacement keyboard (about $100) and a replacement battery (about $80). That would probably get you at the most realistic price.

If your keys don't simply "click" back on, you probably broke the scissor switches. I'm pretty sure that iFixIt sells replacement scissor switches and key caps, but you'll want to check.
