Buy next year or Wait?

I hope that I am not starting this thread too early. I would hate to buy a MBP next year and then be followed by a revision the following year. Thanks for the advice.:apple:

You are starting this thread too early. Computers constantly get updated. No matter what. There will be an update (maybe) later this year, definitely next year, and probably the next next year. Buy it when you need it. If you keep waiting for the next update I promise you will never be satisfied with what you have.

I agree wholeheartedly. Buy when you *need* it. OTOH, if you don't need it right now....waiting for Nehalem (2009) makes sense to *me*.

You should definitely NOT buy a MBP until 2015, because I heard that starting in 2015 Apple is going to wait at least two years between updates.

posts like this sadden me.
a year before you 'consider' buying and you thinks its not to early. and MBP are updated atleast twice a year so they will most definitely be updated.

Throw your money in a CD/high interest savings acct or something like that until you are sure you want to buy.
