Hi, me eMac has some corrupt directory files ont its HD and im looking to get an external one so I can back it up, preferably 80gb. I went to compUSA, and all they had were USB 2.0 hard drives. Does anyone know the best brand of external 80gb hard drives, which I can connect via firewire. Thanks

Thanks. Lacie seems to have some nice hard drives with fast RPM's.

Take a look at the Western Digital FW/USB2 drives also:

I got mine for $110 after rebates.

I recommend OWC (http://eshop.macsales.com). They have Firewire drives of all kinds... Firewire, Firewire/US2, Firewire 400, 800, USB2. They have great shareware and tools included with every drive also.

Yeah OWC looks good. I've bought ram from them in the past so I know they are reliable. Thanks.
