Anyone else lie and say they got their iPhone on 7/11?

I ordered mine then, but didn't get it until the following Thursday. I didn't have to wait in line or anything.

Anyway, when people are surprised that I have a new iPhone I tell them that I waited overnight to be first in line on the day of the launch. It feels good, like I'm getting credit for going through something that crummy when in fact I would never go through such an ordeal personally.

Just wondering if I'm the only one. :confused:

I ordered mine on the 11th because the guy from AT&T didn't hear me when I told him I have a Nextel contract and not an AT&T one so I AM eligible so he told me to wait and I would have gotten the very last phone. Anyways, it's technically a launch day phone, it came in and I got it activated on Tuesday.

I had a Nextel i760 and those phones just completely suck, and the service is terrible too.
