Last gen, 6 months old, it was the one that was $2499.00 and I got it for around $1500 from an Apple friend, soooooo....
(I did this with my 6 month old 2.2 and got my money back)...
Anyway, if Apple is coming out with a new model, it would be time to sell, its a 2.4 glossy, six months old, perfect condition, incase cover (black), and have seen them from $1900 and up. Thing is, if they come out with a new model, do I do what I did last time and get the 2.5 $2499 for $1500, or get the newest which would be about 25% off, (friend doesn't use his EPP), then again, since I use my MBP plugged in most of the time, I am wondering about the Mac Pro, but fear those will be updaed, 16 cores? sometime before Christmas or just go iMac (although fearful of Firewire = cheap non texas instruments whereas MBPro and Macpro=Texas instruments and no problems....
Not sure what to do.
I supposed either way, at the least, get the 2.5 512MB for the $1500 price to keep it current, but could see how if you have a MacPro why a Macbook or Air (if it was $799) would be a good idea....
I have a feeling the new MBPro will be thinner. Not sure, depends on if they have the new Intel chips, cooler and smaller, maybe even 4 cores?
:D
What would you do?
PS. If you were me, what would you sell it for and what, if you saw on Craigs list, would make you say, cool, great deal, all over it - I always get lots of emails when I sell a MBpro laptop. Never a shortage of buyers.
Even the 2.2 sold well, used less power and had some good battery life.
