Not sure if this has been posted, but a French author is claiming that Nemo was plagiaristed from a story he claims to have created,
Quote "...the "Nemo" idea probably found its way to the United States through one of the French studios that Le Calvez approached in 1995"

Lots of people try to take credit for films, especially Pixar ones. I heard a similar story about "Monster's Inc." AND "A Bug's Life."

Sounds as though we will just have to wait for this to make its way through the courts. I wouldn't think that just similarities will get him very far.

It's on the finding nemo DVD.
The screenwriter said the story came about just as he was walking with his son Brian in the park one day after finishing up on A Bugs life. So that would have put the story being written around 97-98' which pre-dates the 02' copyright of the french book.
